Muungano Organisation
The group started on the new year's eve of 1998 and has been progressing fast. A group of young Kenyans got together and decided to start a network that will connect Kenyans everywhere mainly in Canada at any time. They elected a team of four people to be on the leadership team and 2 people to promote and maintain us on the Web.Even though this team was elected to offer leadership, much of the decisions have been left in the hands of the overall team which has led the pace of up to where we are.

The following are the set goals of the team:

• To encourage a getting together of young Kenyans living in Canada at least once a year.
• Offer a Kenyan environment that will assist in orientating young
• Kenyans coming to Canada for studies and other business.
• Offer advice on the way of life in Canada, issues like dealing
  with culture shock, making friends.
• Assist in terms of advice to those having difficulties with their
  academics, even in the area of finances (where approved by the team), visit and talk to young
• Kenyans who are struggling with different issues out here.
